Envy Vs. Inspiration

The internet can be a great place. There are new people to meet, new writers to follow, new posts to read, and there is always something new to learn. It should also be noted that, even though it is not advertised like this, the internet can be a great place to find inspiration and refresh your ideas.

I have used it to find new ideas to write about and it has certainly been a big help; although, I’ve noticed something rather off-putting.

When people talk about their accomplishments and even share how they did it (so that you could try it yourself), they are not always greeted kindly. Sometimes they are pushed aside and hated just because they did something with their life, but is there a reason for this?

Is there a reason for strife over such a petty thing?

Too Much Inspiration

Sometimes when you can see the great things that people all over the globe are doing, it can be hard to receive. Yes, while a great number of people will find it interesting or even be inspired to do something great them-self, not everybody will receive it like this.

For some, they begin to hate themselves because they do not have the same standards or wealth. They think that they are not good enough to climb their way to that level, and this is simply untrue.

If this trait develops within them and grows bigger, it soon turns to envy. They hate who they are, and they almost wish they were someone else. It is all they can think, and it is a faulty way of life.

Be Inspired And Get to Work

I have a personal belief that, even when the world is being tough and trying to bring you down, you always have the power to change what is around you. It may not be a complete change, but it can make your life better and more fulfilling.

So, I want to give you this advice. We all hear success stories and they are quite wonderful, but don’t let yourself become caught up in them.

Learn what you can, internalize what they did to make the right change, and put it to work in your life. Whether it is in your blog, business, job, or some other aspect of life, find out if there were any key turning points that they talked about that you might need to face in your life.

The key to not being envious of accomplishments that other people make, is to learn what they did. Take interests, and look to them as teachers. It takes work to be successful.

Don’t waste your time with envy; become a student and learn.
